Sahar Mirkhan is a Mechanical Site Engineer on Snowy Hydro’s Hunter Power Project, where UGL is the principal contractor for the construction of a 660MW power generation plant. Tell us about your role
“As a mechanical engineer on site, I serve as a package lead. I am responsible for conducting technical reviews of vendor design documents related to service water pumps, demineralised water pumps, and diesel system packages. There is no end to learning something new in mechanical engineering at UGL. I’ve been given the opportunity to work on a construction project up close, allowing me to learn new things while getting involved in the equipment installation process.”

“I had been following UGL on LinkedIn for a while and had been keeping an eye on their current opportunities. During this time, one of UGL’s recruitment specialists found my LinkedIn profile compatible with an available position, and I was invited to an interview.”
