Apprentices and trainees
UGL supports new to industry recruits and upskilling current employees through our apprenticeship and traineeship program.
Apprentices and trainees join UGL at sites across Australia each year in the Services, Projects and Transport Divisions, in trades including electrical, mechanical and welding.
The program helps to build in-demand capabilities at UGL, and we are focused on how we extend this program to meet the demand for technical skills over the next 10 years.
Our apprentices
The apprentices and trainees have joined UGL at sites across Australia this year. Joining teams in both the Services, Transport and Projects Divisions in trades including electrical, mechanical, linespersons, and welding.
Hearing from some of our apprentices, Connor Fryar, Rail Traction Apprentice said:
“UGL has provided me with great exposure to the apprenticeship I am doing. The others in my TAFE class are not getting anywhere near the experiences that I have achieved with UGL.”
Upon the successful completion of the program, it is anticipated our apprentices will be offered a full-time role, so they can continue to build on their knowledge learnt and provide capability to UGL.
When available, opportunities can be searched here.
