Diversity and social inclusion
Diversity and social inclusion at UGL refers to the mix of different backgrounds, cultures, values, skills, knowledge, talents, thoughts and experiences that create our people excellence, uniqueness, and organisation fabric.
We are committed to building a workplace environment of fairness, inclusivity and transparency where every UGL employee feels valued, is provided with the tools to be successful, and given opportunities to progress.
Women
Women@UGL brings together all the available initiatives driving the female agenda at UGL under one strategic pillar to provide a consistent platform to elevate women across UGL.
Under this banner, we have a number of initiatives including:
- Targeted programs like our Emerging Female Leaders Program - supporting female leaders to take the next step, we explore and determine your aspirational career goals, expand your leadership skills and build your personal brand to unleash your full potential.
- Networking events held across the business with various themes to promote engagement.
- Female driven events celebrating International Women’s Day and Women in Engineering Day.
Indigenous participation
UGL continues to focus on the engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and communities. Our internal Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander networking group is a place where our employees can build relationships, connect, support and share experiences. It also advises the business on a range of partners and initiatives to support community groups and improve engagement outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
As we mature as an organisation and continue to explore the enormous opportunities in partnering with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, it is a time for us to dive a little deeper in understanding and appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
