Sustainability
With projects and operations across Australia and New Zealand, we are proud to play a role in the lives of millions of people every day.
We play an important part in the economy, and with that comes a responsibility to ensure we recognise sustainability as a long term, dynamic and strategic imperative. We also acknowledge this is becoming increasingly important for our employees, clients, and the communities in which we work.
Our Sustainability Plan 2025 and sustainability targets cement our commitments in this area and strong alignment with the broader CIMIC Group.
At UGL, we are perfectly positioned to assist clients and governments in their transition to a more sustainable future. Our Sustainability Plan 2025 has a focus on delivering decarbonisation outcomes for our customers via our leading engineering and delivery capabilities. Sustainability in our service offerings is an important way that we can maintain and enhance our place as a trusted solutions partner for our customers.
In our plan we define which sustainability areas are most important to our business and to our stakeholders. These are organised under the headings of “environment”, “social” and “governance” and form the core of our Sustainability Plan 2025.
UGL has been a proud member of the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia since 2017.
