At the Mackay Careers Expo in Queensland, the UGL team inspired over 1,500 students and local attendees with hands on insights into career pathways in the trades. Throughout the day, UGL representatives, Luke Schatkowski, Emily Parker, and Donna Armstrong connected with young people from 14 local high schools, sharing information on the diverse career opportunities available within UGL.
The UGL booth was a standout, featuring engaging models and displays that sparked lively conversations and drew in curious students, parents, and recent graduates.
"Our participation highlights UGL's commitment to helping individuals of all ages discover their paths in the trades and build successful careers." Luke Schatkowski, UGL Mackay Workshop's Manager.
UGL supports new recruits and upskills current employees through our apprenticeship and traineeship program. This program welcomes apprentices across Australia specialising in trades such as electrical, mechanical, and welding. By nurturing emerging talent, we aim to enhance essential capabilities within UGL and expand the program to meet the growing demand for technical skills in the coming decade.
