UGL has entered into a strategic relationship with Indigenous Defence & Infrastructure Consortium (iDiC) to enhance our Indigenous procurement capacity.
iDiC is a single-point deployment, project, and account manager providing its clients with diverse services through its consortium of 140+ Indigenous partner businesses.
UGL has a large network of Indigenous businesses to help it deliver high quality defence and infrastructure projects, and through partnering with iDiC it can increase this network further.
iDiC aims to break the back of poverty of Indigenous communities by supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses that create self-determination and economic independence for Indigenous people, and communities.
"We’re really excited to be working with UGL, which already has great procurement with Indigenous businesses and great engagement with Indigenous communities," said iDiC CEO Adam Goodes. "UGL isn’t starting from zero and we’re hoping together we can take it to another level."
“It’s great to start our relationship with iDiC," said UGL EGM Services Sam Goldsmith. "They’re experienced in the field of supporting Aboriginal enterprises. It’s going to provide us with an opportunity to increase how many businesses we can engage with."
UGL held its first workshop with iDiC in November where stakeholders from across the business came together to collaborate.
