UGL is proud to have recently participated in the Near-Zero Steel Demand Challenge.
This initiative, organised by the First Movers Coalition and the NSW Government funded Greenhouse Challenge, is designed to send a compelling demand signal to steel suppliers globally, encouraging them to accelerate efforts to decarbonize the steel sector.
Through UGL’s diverse projects, we have significant requirements for long steel products and flat steel products, and we expect growing demand for services using low-carbon steel products to minimise Scope 3 emissions.
UGL is committed to the decarbonisation of infrastructure by aligning to the needs of our diverse client base, and our own medium and long-term Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions targets.
We are working with our supply chain on the continual improvement and supply of critical low-emissions materials and products.
