During a forty-year period UGL’s manufacturing capability in rail has delivered over 600 high performance GE locomotives to resources and freight haulage clients; supplied over 1,000 double-deck passenger rail cars to Sydney Trains for use on the Sydney metropolitan transport network; and delivered in excess of 8,000 custom-built freight wagons to public and private enterprise. UGL has manufactured for major metropolitan networks a range of rail system products including Solid State Interlocking units, LED signals, signalling equipment and traction switchgear equipment.
