Due to continued growth within our Asset Services division across the Terminals space, UGL have an opportunity for a high experienced Project | Portfolio Manager with a very strong background in Civil and Earthmoving to join the business in either Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane.
The Project Manager will deliver Bund Projects nationally, reporting into the National Project Manager, developing own and improving Bund related technical and construction/delivery capability. Including innovation design, engineering and construction approaches with the intent to deliver best cost to the client solutions.
Responsibilities will include;
Accountable for the safe and efficient delivery of all Bund projects
Interface with Engineering team resources to deliver best value to client through efficient and risk appropriate project processes and delivery strategies.
Ensure the field activities (construction and commissioning) managed by the project teams follow HSSE procedures, identify and manage risk and lead to no incidents.
Oversee the delivery of Bund Program, inclusive accountability for monthly forecasting at project level, acceleration, cost control, benchmarking and reporting to internal and client stakeholders.
Undertake project development as requested by the client from concept, through option development, option selection, estimating and project sanction.
Review and become an expert user of the Bund Specification, to ensure risk and cost appropriate designs are proposed and implemented to develop UGL capability and prestige in this space.
Seek and recommend ongoing improvements to project delivery processes.
Contribute as a senior member to the culture (safety and performance) of the wider Project Team
To be successful in this role;
A Minimum of 10 years industry experience in Project & Portfolio Management in relevant industry (e.g. Oil and gas, chemicals)
Strong civil / earthmoving project experience, with previous exposure to Bulk Fuel Terminal bunding
Project delivery experience in a brownfields Oil & Gas multidisciplinary project portfolio capacity preferable
- Able to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
- A strong background in staff management and motivating teams.
- An innovative approach to continuous improvement and successful delivery methods
