UGL are currently seeking Expressions of Interests from Project Engineer or Maintenance Coordinators for a 12 month contract with a leading Oil and Gas organisation.  As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for the delivery of the campaign, providing leadership, supervision of maintenance technicians for maintenance activities associated with supporting production within a defined area. Ideally you will have experience within either Mechanical, Rotating Equipment and Electrical disciplines These positions will be Karratha based.
Responsibilities include but not limited to;
  • Responsible for the development of the whole campaign from start to close out phase
  • Responsible for facility maintenance compliance with HSE standards including performing job hazard analysis.
  • Responsible for the execution of Maintenance planning and maintenance processes
  • Responsible for publishing performance reports
  • Responsible for leading a team of technicians and ensure business processes are followed
  • Responsible for planning and reporting.
  • Responsible for allocating resources to execute work
  • Responsible for the daily update of work activities to the campaign plan
  • Responsible for ensuring all materials are physically checked
  • Develop full awareness and familiarity with all aspects of the project lifecycle.
  • Provide analysis and reporting of the project’s activities, construction performance and initiates strategies to improve engineering outputs across the project.
  • Ensure that the project controls and obligations are complied with and all internal obligations are met in a timely, consistent and reliable manner
  • Participate in site strategy with internal project controls stakeholders, ensuring initiatives are designed in alignment with the QA/QC Management plan
  • Ensure any change is managed through the projects approved change control process
  • Maintain the integrity of systems by adhering to the project standard and ensuring compliance by regularly conducting audits and implementing any corrective actions
  • Conduct trend analysis, highlight key bottlenecks and improve the efficiency of the projects processes
  • Escalate any performance or delivery issues for resolution in a timely manner
  • Actively promote safety awareness, safe work practices and comply with the site safety management plans and initiatives including performing Job Hazard Analysis prior to work commencing.
  • Actively promote environmentally responsible work practices and compliance with site environmental plans
To be successful in this role you will need the following;
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar position within the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Qualification in project engineering or similar discipline
  • Ability to organise and coordinate resources in an operational environment
  • Leading edge knowledge and expertise of construction practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the project activities
  • Sound knowledge of industry and best-practice standards and their relevance activities
  • Knowledge of plant process - safety, integrity and maintenance processes
  • Ability to coordinate/lead a team, including demonstrated safety leadership
  • Reliable, dependable, flexible with strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience within Mechanical/rotating equipment or Electrical field
