Due to continued growth we have an opportunity for a highly experienced Workforce Planning Lead to join the Asset Services division team based in Perth.
 
The Workforce Planning Lead role is to coordinate, monitor compliance and record the training and induction requirements for the Iron Ore Operations, including Field Services, Mechanical and Electrical Workshops to ensure compliance at all times
 
This position would suit someone who has had exposure to fast paced “shutdown” style recruitment in either an internal or external capacity.
 
Responsibilities Include:
 
  • Liaising and coordinating with Site Superintendents and Supervisors for project requirements.
  • Oversee the allocation of labour resources for various shutdown and project works.
  • Ensure planning and scheduling will be conducted over a range of periods to ensure that proper resource levelling is attained across the whole business and tracked against plan.
  • End to end mobilisation/site access requirements, from arranging inductions, booking accommodations, etc. whilst adhering to client and the Company's policy and procedures
  • Ensure checks are completed for all qualifications against the job requirements, and ensuring all pre-mobilisation checks are completed prior to personnel mobilising to site.
  • Assisting with recruitment, HR processes and reporting requirements.
  • Proactively identify, track and manage issues or risks that could impact the successful transition of resources, escalating as appropriate
  • Streamline logistical processes to ensure they can meet contractual and project obligations
     
 
To be successful in this role;
 
  • Previous experience in a scheduling/ workforce planning position
  • An exceptional understanding of recruitment in blue collar/shutdown environments
  • Current knowledge and understanding of industry training specifications, e.g. ticket validations and renewals
  • Experience leading a very reactive, high volume mobilisation team is essential
  • Shutdown manning and mobilisation experience with either or preferably all of the top Iron Ore businesses
  • Exposure to fast paced high volume blue collar recruitment
  • Prior experience with talent management
  • Proven experience in managing end to end recruitment
  • High level of understanding of brownfield maintenance shutdowns
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication,
  • Ability to work independently.
